less accurate pace men- still befuddled batsmen

the bowling of aussies lacked spirit and spark where the in form jhonson and clark found it ahrd to find the right line and length. where they gave away 40 boundaries and 36 extras including 17 no-balls) with reckless abandon yet, somehow, almost managing to terminate England's first innings in a day.
the day ended on a high note for oz's but still the english bats men failed to utilise the pre dominant half volleys and the xtra width given by the australian pace men. clark who was so accurate found hard to get the length. hilfenaus who went for a big some brfore tea found to manage strauss. but the fault was on english batsmen where they were found to give the fight with some filthy loose shots...
